namaste, i'm mahika, you can call me mj and it's so nice to meet you. i'm evidently a chaotic individual, i'm not ashamed of it either and here's what makes me, me.

i'm a queer, female, person of color but above it all i'm a bold, passionate, humanitarian-ideology oriented individual studying Communication and Journalism & Mass Communication at the George Washington University in the heart of Washington D.C. where i'm also in the Honors program and a Presidential scholar.

i run a community organization on Instagram called LISTEN - love, interact, strengthen, teach, empathize and naturalize and host it's adjoining Spotify podcast (more rambling).

i'm a Math Matters tutor, as well as the Director of Communications for the Washington Forum on India and a Social Media Manager at Its On Us at GW.

apart from my broad passion for communication and journalism, i take great interest in politics, public affairs, content creation, business and marine biology.

i was born to well-educated, exposed and forward-thinking parents with American passports so i was naturalized into American citizenship and have settled into the USA for good though i was born and raised in an Indian city - Pune, where i will always find comfort in the lush trees, alphonso mangoes and the smell of rain.

i happen to be five-feet-something tall but i also happen to believe i'm seven-feet-something tall so my confidence is unwavering — i'm not a cocky person, i just dive headfirst into unknown territory and i'm not perplexed by unfamiliarity.

i love deeply and care fiercely and that applies to everything i do so i'm ethically considerate of my actions in the personal and professional world.
